  Developing Meaningful Performance Measures for Balanced Scorecards Course Overview

 
Course 355 - 3 Days

 

This new course expands on our previous offerings (Courses 304, 354) to create a full 3-day intensive course on how to derive and refine meaningful performance measures for your organization.

The course is organized into eight modules that are designed to prepare the participants to develop measures of organizational results, as well as operations and processes, and to link operational measures to related results. Participants should also be able to take measures and turn them into manageable data and useful performance information. The course modules are:


Day One:
  • Module 1 - Course Introduction
  • Module 2 - Introduction to Performance Management, Measurement, and the Balanced Scorecard
  • Module 3 - Understanding Performance Measures and the Framework for Measuring

Day Two:

  • Module 4 - Performance Measures Definition
  • Module 5 - Advanced Performance Measures

Day Three:

  • Module 6 - Managing Strategically with Performance Information
  • Module 7 - Meeting the Challenges of Measurement-based Management
  • Module 8 - Wrap-up

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for employees who have been tasked to plan, develop, upgrade and/or maintain a balanced scorecard system, or to improve dashboards, KPI scorecards, business processes, portfolio management or other performance measurement systems. The course is recommended for managers, planners and analysts who are involved with defining performance measures, complying with regulatory reporting requirements (such as Sarbanes-Oxley) or others seeking the best practical ideas in improving organizational performance.
