Course Benefits
This course is designed for participants engaged in planning, budgeting, performance improvement, and internal consulting. This course uses three systematic models (the Logic Model, the Strategic Results Model, and the Balanced Scorecard) to teach participants how to think strategically rather than just in terms of activities and processes. Participants will learn to develop outcome performance measures that are essential for organization success. Effort is concentrated on identifying the critical few measures that matter most, not the hundreds of activities that could be measured. Participants learn how to apply the methodology in their organization in a systematic way.
Performance measurement software will be demonstrated to show how you can use software to assist in setting up scorecards, and in collecting and reporting strategic information. You will also learn about some of the challenges and pitfalls of strategic management, and how to deal with them.
You will receive a 200-page Workbook, case studies, software demonstrations, and small-group facilitated sessions to practice each step in developing strategy-focused performance measures.
