balanced?

I am currently an accounting student and I am taking an advanced managerial course that uses the balanced scorecard. My question from the class is: What makes a balanced scorecard "Balanced"

Re: balanced?
Primarily what makes a balanced scorecard ‘balanced’ is that we view the organization from multiple perspectives and develop metrics, collect data and analyze it relative to each of these perspectives.  In other words, we balanced our focus between the internal (the Learning and Growth Perspective & the Business Process Perspective), the external (the Customer Perspective) and the Financial Perspective. A good scorecard also maintains a balanced between leading indicators and lagging indicators.  'Balance’ also reflects the framework’s emphasis on strategic themes and objectives rather than on the typical focus on operations only.

Re: balanced?

the four aspects, Financial, Customer, Learning and growthing and  Internal Process, all are important although the degree of them is different. So the Balanced  , I think , you can highly input a lot of emphasis on one or two aspects  of them in some time, but you couldnot neglect the other aspects.

It is the Balanced.  Only for your reference.
