Organisational buy in and communication 

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have a question that you might be able to help with. We have been running a BSC for a number of years in my division yet we seem to have the recurring problem of organizational buy in. Many individuals below the management level or that are not directly responsible for objectives on our BSC find it difficult to draw the lines between their own individual contributions / objectives and those of the business. Although we have tried to implement a policy of linking our individual objectives to the BSC it is sometimes not that obvious.

The concept of a "Strategy Deployment Matrix (SDM) to cascade strategy in to individual goals" described by Mugesh babu sounds interesting and I would be interested in discussing this further at your earliest convenience especially as we are operating in the same industry. But if anyone else has any suggestions that would also be very helpful.  

Also we currently use an Excel based spread sheet to collect evidence and monitor objectives. Although this works it is a little cumbersome and people find it difficult to use especially when trying to communicate the BSC.  Any tips on format for communication / updating departments on the progress of your BSC would also be useful.
