Mohamed Gebriel is a Business Entrepreneur and Executive with an 19 year record of international experience. He is a Balanced Scorecard Institute Senior Associate as well as the founder and Managing Director of Progress Consulting, partner of the Balanced Scorecard Institute providing professional Project, Program, Portfolio, PMO, Strategy and Performance Management Consultancy Services.
As a veteran Planning & Control Engineer, he was the first from the MENA region to receive the Authorized Trainer/Consultant certification from Primavera in 1997 in London. He is a certified PMP, as well as a registered Civil Engineer with a post graduate degree in Project Management and a Doctorate degree in Business Administration in Strategy Management. Mohamed is also an experienced lecturer and trainer in Business, Project Management, Strategy, Performance & Project Management Applications, conducting training in numerous countries.
In 2001 Mohamed co-established Promastar, a specialized Project Management Consulting Company focusing on the Construction, ICT and Government Sectors. In early 2008 he established Progress Consulting, which in addition to Project Portfolio Management, introduced world leading expertise in the field of Balanced Scorecards for Performance Measurement and Management functions in the Middle East where he led business development and consulting in both fields. In early 2012, Mohamed was selected to help The Palladium Group establish the KSA branch and assumed the role of KSA Principal and Managing Director providing leadership engagement to top organizations including 2 ministries.
For the last 19 years, Mohamed has developed business and led teams in 4 different continents in a variety of Construction, Oil & Gas, Telecom, IT and Government projects. He has been a consultant to names as ABB - Susa, Alcatel, Ericsson, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Mobinil, Ocean Energy, Orascom, Saudi Telecom, Siemens, the Qatari Public Works Authority, Saudi Ministry of Labor, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and the Kuwaiti Supreme Council for Development & Planning. He has also led consulting teams in several claim cases and participated in arbitration hearings as a Delay Analysis Expert.
Mohamed was selected as a content team member responsible for developing PMI’s new Portfolio Management Standard as well as write a full chapter for PMI’s PMO Book on the Performance Management Role of PMOs. Due to his contribution in the field, he was chosen as Saudi Arabia Leader for PMI’s PMO SIG. He was also responsible for creating and developing the first MBA in Project Management in the Middle East offered by the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, which is sponsored by the Arab League.
Mohamed’s foremost experience specifically rises in leading businesses in development, implementation and operation of practices, systems and entities responsible for planning, control, project management, strategy management, performance management and balanced scorecards such as PSOs, PMOs, SMOs and SPMOs using world class standards, methodologies and technologies.
